Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is a highly revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. He is credited with bringing Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century and is considered a second Buddha by many practitioners. He is known for his mastery of tantra and is often depicted holding a vajra and a skull cup, symbolizing his power to overcome obstacles and bestow blessings. He is considered to be a powerful spiritual master and his teachings and practices continue to be studied and practiced by many today.
The most commonly recited mantra of Padmasambhava is "Om Ah Hung Benza Guru Padma Siddhi Hung." This mantra invokes the blessings and spiritual power of Padmasambhava for the attainment of spiritual realization and the removal of obstacles. Some people recite this mantra as a daily practice or during meditation, while others recite it during rituals or ceremonies
Protecting the Face
As the face is painted it is highly recommended that the face of the statue is to be greatly taken care of as it requires a very professional and skilled face artist to repair the face of dirt and damages. Commonly to protect it from damage the statue with painted face is placed under a glass box and it is always covered with a cotton face mask if it has to be moved.
All our statues are handmade. Each piece is unique and it is impossible to reproduce exactly the same. Slight differences may therefore appear in the shapes, proportions, colors and materials used in our descriptions and specification sheets.
