Vajra Meditation Rope Incense - Set of 6
Vajra Meditation Rope Incense - Set of 6
This is a traditional Newari incense called Dhupaya. It is made traditionally using many precious Aromatic Himalayan Herbs. The finely powdered form of the herbs are wrapped in the thin strip of Lokta Paper and twined forming a knotting stick.
The rope incense (Joss-sticks) is an old traditional form of incense that is common in Tibet, Nepal & Bhutan. They often contain up to 30 ingredients that are ground into a powder. The ropes are manufactured by the village women by rolling the powdered incense with rice paper which is then braided. The smoke is burned in religious ceremonies, spiritual practice and worship as a sacrifice to the divine, as well as in the daily life for physical, spiritual, mental and emotional well-being.
Each of the ropes of this incense burns for 25 to 30 minutes.
