Blue Resin Medicine Buddha Statue 5"

This statue is made of resin. It is hand carved and handmade in Nepal by Nepalese artist.

Medicine Buddha is also called Bhaisajya Tathagatta or healing Buddha. He is able to cure sickness.

Medicine Buddha is also know as as a doctor who cures dukkha (suffering) using the medicine of his teachings. Medicine Buddha is surrounded by various herbs and medicine, with halos of healing energy radiating from his head and body.

His body is bright like Lapislazuli. He resides in the eastern world of purified lapislazuli. He is assisted by two Bodhisattvas called Suryaprabha and Candrapraha, to transform and teach living beings in that land. In Tibetan medical tradition Bhaisajya Buddha is said to be the source of all medical treaties.
