The traditional dreamcatcher is made of a willow hoop with a web woven in the center. The web is decorated with beads, feathers, and other objects.

The Ojibwe people are credited with creating the dreamcatcher. They believed that the night air is filled with dreams, both good and bad. The dreamcatcher would hang above the bed of a sleeping child, catching the bad dreams in its web. The good dreams would pass through the hole in the center of the dreamcatcher and slide down the feathers to the child.

The dreamcatcher is still used today by many people, both Native American and non-Native American. It is seen as a symbol of protection and good luck.
