Khedrub je, also known as Khedrubje Gelek Pelzang, great teacher of Tibetan Buddhism whose activities led to the formation of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. Khedrub de followed Tsongkhapa as a disciple, studying tibetan sutra. His right hand is formed In the gesture of knowledge where as left hand forms the Dhyana mudra, representing the gesture of meditation and red hat atop his head represents the perfection of wisdom.

Protecting the Face
