Green Tara, also known as Harit Tara in Nepal, mother of liberation is the most famous female deity in Buddhism. Green Tara is the female epitome of the illuminated empathy and phenomenal deeds of the multitude of Buddhas, offering security and help to all who face difficulties in their lives.
Green Tara is portrayed in a stance of effortless scrutinizing ease with her right leg broadened. Her right hand is expanded descending, palm open, with thumb and pointer contacting. This hand position is known as Varada Mudra, or the token of giving wishes and security. Protecting the Face
